Recognised in the national catalogue of eligible Data Spaces and aligned with UNE 0087:2025 (Spanish national specification for Data Spaces).
What this means for your organisation and how to activate it from the Canary Islands (and Spain).
It’s official: TOURiLab Data Space appears in the Catálogo Nacional de Espacios de Datos Elegibles (national catalogue of eligible Data Spaces) published by the Centro de Referencia de Espacios de Datos – CRED (Data Spaces Reference Centre), an initiative of the Secretaría de Estado de Digitalización e Inteligencia Artificial (Spanish State Secretariat for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence) of the Ministerio para la Transformación Digital y de la Función Pública (Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service), with the support of Red.es. Being on this list —an official national reference— is a public validation that our Data Space meets the required criteria and opens the door for companies and public administrations to join and fund their participation through the Programa Kit Espacios de Datos (Data Spaces Kit programme).
Why is it important to be in the catalogue?
- Legitimacy and trust. Being part of a national catalogue means alignment with the Spanish/European Data Space framework and with the enabling requirements set by the Administration.
 - Direct access to funding. The bases reguladoras (regulatory bases) of the Programa Kit Espacios de Datos (published in the BOE – Boletín Oficial del Estado, Official State Gazette, on 16/07/2025) include grants for effective onboarding into eligible Data Spaces. Being in the catalogue facilitates access to funding.
 - Less risk, more speed. Clear rules reduce legal and technical uncertainty so you can focus on the use case and delivering results in production.

Official document: check the bases del Programa Kit Espacios de Datos (programme rules, BOE) and Ministry notes. You can also find operational details and the provisional list of eligible Data Spaces on the Red.es and CRED portals here.
What can organisations do now (from the Canary Islands and the rest of Spain)?
- Plan your effective onboarding into an already eligible Data Space —for example, TOURiLab Data Space— and define your first data product with clear value (operations, commercial, customer experience, or sustainability).
 - Align teams (business, technical and legal) around a specific use case, with simple indicators and a short timeframe for validation.
 - Leverage institutional momentum: Europe and Spain promote competition through interoperability and common rules. Eligibility turns that ambition into an immediate opportunity for your organisation.

Who is TOURiLab Data Space for?
Although our main focus is tourism, the model is multi-sector and applies to mobility and transport, the blue economy, retail and events, logistics and public services. The common denominator: sharing and reusing data with guarantees, including real time where appropriate, to decide faster and ultimately be more sustainable both individually and collectively.
Why choose MNX Online?
- We execute, not just advise. We take care of connections, policies and permissions and leave your first data product up and running so you can measure results quickly.
 - Standards and community. We work with open standards, deliver real Data Space projects, and took part in the group that defined the maturity model that led to UNE 0087:2025. In practice: fast set-up, clear agreements and no unnecessary complications. We help you comply from day one.
 - A clear and practical path. We start with a specific problem, agree on indicators and scale what works, without technical headaches.

I want to be part of TOURiLab Data Space
Important note: Why does it matter that Red.es and the CRED have included TOURiLab Data Space in the Programa Kit Espacios de Datos catalogue? Because only the Data Spaces listed in the catalogue can channel programme funding. Being on this official list makes your participation fundable, provides legal and technical certainty, and lets you start with a first data product backed by the Administration.

TOURiLab Data Space, exp. DUM-030000-2023-580, has received support for “Última Milla” (Last Mile) digitalisation projects in the tourism sector for 2023, granted by the Ministerio de Industria y Turismo (Spanish Ministry of Industry and Tourism) under the Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia (Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Next Generation EU funds).
