MNX Online strengthens its team with new hires and job openings

IT job openings in the Canary Islands are part of MNX Online’s growth plans for 2025. We’re facing more national and European projects, new collaborations across the FIWARE ecosystem, and exciting challenges in data spaces, smart tourism, applied AI, and sustainability. To tackle them the way we like — with rigour, creativity, and a focus on real impact — we’re opening recruitment processes and preparing new hires to join a team with both regional and international ambition… from the Canary Islands.

We work with enabling technologies (FIWARE, data integration, APIs, containers, applied AI) and with public and private partners. That requires autonomous people with technical judgement, a learning mindset, and a willingness to share.

Open positions

Mid-Level Developer

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain features in data integration and data sharing solutions.
  • Design RESTful APIs and contribute to their evolution with quality standards.
  • Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and Docker (Kubernetes is a big plus).
  • Bring ideas, review code, and collaborate with the team in iterative deliveries.

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years of real backend development experience (Python or NodeJS/NestJS).
  • Strong command of APIs, data modelling, and testing.
  • Autonomy, clear communication, and a product mindset.
  • Experience with FIWARE/IoT or open data is valued.

What we offer

  • Initial part-time schedule (6 hours/day), with possible expansion to 8 hours/day.
  • Hybrid remote model with in-person meetings every two weeks at Fuerteventura Technology Park.

Senior Developer – FIWARE Architect

What you’ll do

  • Design and lead FIWARE architectures: interoperability, scalability, and alignment with European standards.
  • Drive data spaces and integrations (tourism, agrifood, blue economy, etc.).
  • Coordinate with our CTO and the TOURiLab iHub on strategic projects.
  • Integrate AI, security, and identity (e.g., Keycloak) where they add value.

What we’re looking for

  • 7+ years in complex tech solutions; experience with FIWARE or similar technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Python or NodeJS/NestJS, Docker/Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL, and APIs.
  • Architecture mindset, technical leadership, and the ability to guide teams.

MNX Online is hiring: we’re looking for a mid-level developer and a senior FIWARE Architect for real-impact projects from the Canary Islands. Close-knit team, continuous learning, and mentorship. We also host vocational training and university internships.
